I have visited Svalbard three times, twice travelling with G Adventure. I saw some amazing wildlife on my first visit, but much to my disappointment, no arctic fox.
My second visit more than made up for it. For the duration of a hike we had two foxes tailing us, at times no more than a stones throw away. I understand we were also very fortunate to see a fox with such a white coat; I traveled in early September when their coats are slightly darker to match the colour of the dirt.
